We’re getting ready to teach our Photoshop Elements Essentials classes again. We’re always amazed at how many tips Photoshop Elements has built into the program. Deb thought you might like to know how to use one of these guided edits, Remove Objects, to eliminate a bald spot as well as getting rid of background objects.
Taking passport photographs is usually not much fun, but at my house we make it into quite a production. We decided that #1 granddaughter should be transformed into Cousin Itt from the Addams Family.
The Problem
Unfortunately we noticed that our Cousin Itt had a bald spot after we took the photo. Instead of using the guided edit to remove an “object,” I used it to remove the bald spot. The bald spot was surrounded by brown hair, so Photoshop Elements just sees the bald area as an object that you can remove. Here’s the before and after:
The Fix
Here’s a little 3 minute video that shows the process. And yes, Deb inadvertently called Cousin Itt “Thing.”
If you want to learn how to do this and other nifty tricks, why don’t you sign up for our Photoshop Elements classes. The next series starts April 6. Click here for more information and to register for class.
