It’s less than a month until the bidding starts on our favorite auction—the Studio Art Quilt Associates Benefit Auction. All proceeds help support SAQA’s exhibition programs, publications, and education outreach. Plus, your purchase helps increase the recognition for art quilts and the artists who make them, like the Pixeladies. As in years past, Kris and I are making our dream collections. This year we are choosing eight pieces to make up our collections.
I’m sure my 2021 dream collection came about because I’m sitting in hot, dry, smoky California dreaming of water. Any kind of water. Rain, snow, fog. Salt water or fresh. Looking at the cool blues in these twelve inch square works of art makes me feel ten degrees cooler. Enjoy the eye-candy.
Speaking of dreaming of water. Just in case you’re the owner of this lovely beach house on Lake Michigan, I’ve created a mock-up of how wonderful these pieces would look in your home.
