Here’s a new topic for us: student art. We have been teaching online for years—way before the start of the Coronovirus/Covid-19 pandemic. We certainly love online teaching, but one of the bad things about this format is that we rarely get to see the our students’ finished projects. Imagine our joy, then, when Chris Beardsley from Australia sent us an email with photos of not one, but three completed art quilts. Chris used the skills she learned in our Photoshop Elements classes to create the fabric. She also saw great examples from quilts she helped hang the Celebrating Silver exhibition put on by Studio Art Quilt Associates in Adelaide. We think Chris’ work really shows how Photoshop Elements can be a valuable tool in the creative process.
Chris’ Palatte
Doesn’t Chris’ limited use of color on these black and white photos enhance the architecture of these riverside structures? And don’t you love the texture she added with the quilting?
Chris’ Architecture
Chris’ collage of the manmade and natural elements and colors evoke a harmony that we didn’t know could exist between the two. She has really found a voice in these three works of art, focusing on the beauty of everyday architecture.
We are so proud of Chris and what she has accomplished using the great tool that Photoshop Elements is. We hope to showcase more student art in the future. We can’t guarantee you’ll make such gorgeous works of art like Chris, but if you’d like to learn more about our Photoshop Elements classes, visit https://www.pixeladies.com/classes/. Classes start soon!

These are just fabulous! Ihave now taken your full suite…PSE 1, 2, and 3. There is so much content, I feel as if I could do them all again at least onetime and still learn a lot, but I do refer to the document downloads and try to keep working at it. Are you interested in seeing more work that is inspired and informed by your classes? I have some examples to share. You are the most amazing teachers.
Hi Susan , I have repeated the Pse 2 &3 as I love the online feedback and in 2020 we had a couple of zoom meetings too.
And we love having you in class, Chris!
Yes, Susan, we would love to feature your work. Just email us.
Love this share ladies! Beautiful work by Chris.
