Tech Tuesday: Capture and capture

I was sitting outside, minding my own business, reading a no-brainer book, when Art Brain (thanks, Lynn Krawczyk, for introducing me to the term) sprang to life.  I kept thinking about an upcoming project.  I wanted to have just the right color palette.  Adobe Color, I thought to myself.  Too comfortable to venture inside to the computer, I picked up my trusty smartphone.  Adobe has moved to the cloud; they must have an app for creating a color palette.

Adobe Capture

Lo and behold, I found Adobe Capture.  Not only will it work with colors, but it will create a pattern out of an image or–hang on to your phones, folks–an image from your cell phone camera.  Kris will vouch for this:  I’ve never been a kaleidoscope person.  It just doesn’t float my boat.  For some reason, when I turned on Capture’s pattern feature, I was just amazed as I moved my camera around.   Here’s what I was looking at:

A blog post, I thought to myself, this could be a Tech Tuesday blog post.  But I didn’t want to just post some static screenshots of what I was seeing.  That just wasn’t worth showing you.  So I picked up my trusty smartphone again and googled “capture Android cell phone video.”  After a quick search I found AZ Screen Recorder.  Download. Install. Run. Very simple, very intuitive.  I found two great apps in less than 15 minutes.  I just had to share them with you.
