We made this piece in the summer of 2016. The nation was on the brink of electing its first woman president. As hopeful as we were, we knew that women still faced discrimination. As we learned in November, it wasn’t enough to be smarter, more experienced, more capable, or more diplomatic. Not when you’re a woman.
